Pete & JerenePete & Jerene

The Gertonsons

My Mom (Marge) & Dad (Pete) moved to Lewiston Idaho when I was about 4 years old from Ely Nevada where my brother, Steve was born. Both of my sisters, Chris & Laurie were born in Lewiston. Dad worked for the Weather Bureau as a Weatherman at the Lewiston Airport. Both Mom & Dad were very active in the community and taught me the spirit of community and volunteering. We are proud to have passed on their traditional values to our children through our community work over the years!

I have been married for 38 years to a wonderful Prairie Girl from Winchester Idaho. My wife, Jerene, was born and raised in Idaho, while I was born in Massachusetts. Jerene graduated from Highland High School in Craigmont in 1969. I graduated from Lewiston High School in 1971.

I retired from the US Postal Service in 2007. My wife still works part time in Winchester. In 1980 we moved 15 miles South of Lewiston to Waha. (see photo below)
